HARDENER
This polyester compound has
excellent adhesion for structural bonds to fiberglass laminate,
such as bonding rudder
halves or hull-deck joints. Excellent for auto body repair to reconstruct
areas where metal is rusted away or badly
damaged. An
excellent trowel-in-place, syntactic foam core for molded FRP
parts. Can be used to replace damaged
core, or bed new balsa, foam or plywood core. Often used as a castable or
formable putty for sculpting and taxidermy
applications. It is easily shaped, carved and filed. High
compressive strength, low shrinkage with excellent
non-sagging
characteristics on vertical surfaces. Can be applied up to 3" thick in a single
application! May be
used on wood, metal
and fiberglass surfaces.

Very
smooth putty for filling small sanding scratches and pinholes
prior to finish coating. Smooth filling,
easy spreading.

940 VINYLESTER FAIRING COMPOUND
A smooth lightweight fairing compound that is easy to sand and
shape. 940 is ideal for underwater applications. It
has excellent adhesive and compressive strengh as well as better
adhesion to aluminum, steel and brass than polyester
compounds.

945 VINYLESTER BONDING COMPOUND
An extremely high strength, glass reinforced, syntactic
compound used for making strong, stiff bonds where gap filling
(up to 1-1/2") may be required. Similar to 345 Bond-A-Lite’s
consistency, 945 uses vinylester resin to create a highly water,
chemical & heat
resistant bond. (Call for specific applications). Can be used as a
trowel-in-place core, or for core bedding with balsa, plywood or
PVC Foam. An ideal
choice for repairs to high stress areas, such as bonding
stringers & bulkheads to the hull laminate, and bonding
fiberglass panels together. May be used on wood, metal and
fiberglass surfaces.

FOURSEAL
PRIMER
Fourseal
Primer is a high build polyester coating used extensively ofr
refinishing fiberglass parts which require sanding
and fairing work. It is an excellent finish for plugs &
short run molds (1-5 pieces) made of plywood, Masonite
etc.
* High build coating (Up to 40 mils
wet with several
passes to fill a multitude of
imperfections).
* Sands Easy, 4 hours after spraying @ 77º
F.
* Does not load the sandpaper when sanding.
* Can be buffed to a semi-gloss if a quick
plug
pattern is needed. Follow normal wax
procedures as
you would with a new mold.
* Good adhesion with existing polyester molds
when
procedures are followed from the application
guide.

Fourseal
Primer should be applied in 1-3 mil passes to a film thickness of
18-22 mils.
Make sure spray equipment air pressure is properly adjusted. Keep
the spray equipment and connecting
air lines free of water and oil.
(Fourseal can be brushed or rolled. However,
spraying yields a smoother, more consistent finish.)

Application
guide
Fourseal primer can be sprayed as supplied, or
thinned with lacquer thinner up to 33%.
To catalyze, use a brand of Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide (MEKP)
specifically designed for gel coats.
Do not catalyze at levels below 2% or above 3% as this may result
in curing problems or other physical
defects.
